Fall.

Fall is officially here. It has to be my most favourite season (and another reason why I am so thankful to live in a place with 4 distinct seasons). The sweltering days of summer are over and the toe numbing, icy days of winter have yet to arrive. Sandwiched in between is this wonderful season full of colour,  crisp mornings and sunny afternoons, deep indigo grey skies and cosy, knit sweaters. LOVE IT.

For us farmers, fall brings the promise of quieter days. There will always be chores, but the field work calms down and J and I get to reconnect after hectic, long days apart. Lately, J and T have REALLY bonded. She has become a total Daddy's girl and prefers him to me these days (i'm trying not to take it too personally, I mean it's just a phase, right?!)  Its very sweet, and J and his Mini Me (They are pretty much identical minus the goatee - thank goodness) have the best time discovering the world around her together.

Fall is a season of change. A transition to the stagnant wintery days that although short in daylight, make up the longest season of all for me. I feel like when you have a baby, your lives are constantly changing. Adapting to accommodate new needs and skills. Life is never boring!
