Letter to Baby Girl.

It has been way too long since I have written one of these. A lot has changed, while at the same time it is really all the same. I am really enjoying the age you are at right now (13ish months.) Your (sassy) personality is emerging and you are so interactive! Love it. It amazes me how much you pick up on and retain (note to self... stop swearing) and everyday is an adventure for you right now.

At your 12 month (which was actually closer to 13 month) appointment on December 21st you weighed in at 19lbs 15oz and were 30" tall. Your officially a string bean. You are a happy and healthy little monkey and seem to be right on track. You babble NON STOP and for sure say "Daddy" or "Dada" when you see him but thats the only discernible word I can catch. You make a lot of animal noises - cow, dog, kitty and a lion roar. You also say "vroom vroom" (or close enough) when pushing your toy tractors around. And as for walking... nope, not yet! Im not super sad about that, I mean you get into enough stuff crawling and cruising around, I can only imagine the havoc you will unleash once you are walking! 4 more teeth are through (including 2 molars). THANK. GOODNESS. It was rough for a while there but thanks to this natural teething remedy (honestly, its awesome) and when we needed to break out the big guns, infant advil/tylenol, we made it through.

You have had lots of adventure over the last couple months. Christmas was a blast and then you had a 4 day sleep over with your GeeGee! Im happy to say that you, GeeGee and I all survived it and you were a good girl. (Thanks for being good so that you can go back to GeeGee's for sleepovers.) You also had your first swimming lesson. You weren't so sure at first, but by the end of the lesson, you were loving it.

Things you love right now: macaroni and cheese, goat cheese, nutrigrain bars, mango, spaghetti, books, your soother (I'm petrified for when the time comes to wean you from it), your dogs, the cows, the barn, bath time, this youtube video (honestly, you crack up every time you see it!).

Things you really don't like: having your diaper changed (the alligator death roll = poo everywhere), vegetables (still), having anything taken away from you.

I just want to savour every minute of every day with you right now. You are such an explorer lately. Never stop being curious baby girl. You never know what you will find.
