A Letter to Baby Girl.

Dear Miss T,

Baby girl! You will be 1 in less than a month... 25 days to be exact. WHAT?!?! I have to say, the 39 weeks I was pregnant with you seemed to last an absolute eternity, but ever since you arrived into this world I feel like we have been in fast forward.

Over the last month, your personality and character is really emerging. Your Daddy and I find you absolutely hilarious (although we are totally biased). One of the funniest things you do is "kitty whisper". Anytime you see a cat, or we ask you where the kitties are, you make this high pitched squeaking sound (your Nana is convinced your imitating a "meow" sound... I'm not so sure but its pretty darn cute regardless!) You babble and chat away and giggle at everything lately. And you are a total Daddy's girl.

You FINALLY got your two front teeth... no more fangs! Im assuming you will hit 1 year right around 20lbs and you are a long and lean little girl. Your hair is growing in a strawberry blonde colour (and lucky you, you seem to have inherited my stick straight, baby fine hair... destined to never hold a curl, sorry about that) and you have the biggest baby blues that melt my heart and have your daddy wrapped around your baby finger.

Your whole body vibrates with excitement when you are happy and now you have added clapping to the mix when you can't contain yourself... its so freaking adorable. You pull yourself up on everything but I still think it will be a month or two before you are walking. You have started drinking regular milk and think its great!

Things that you love: books, bath time, terrorizing playing with your dogs, chore time in the barn, the barn cats, cheese, noodles, toast with butter, music, playing "the drums" (you tap tap tap away on any flat surface you can find).

Things that you really don't like: vegetables (especially peas) - we need to work on this, nap time, having something taken away from you (cue back arching and screaming).

This past weekend we went on a girls shopping trip with your Auntie Roo (my sister) and your GeeGee (my mom) and we had the nicest time. You loved it and were such a trooper. One of the best parts about it was watching you and your Auntie Roo. Your GeeGee have a special bond but you were totally infatuated with Auntie Roo. You are so lucky to have an amazing, fun loving aunt like her.

Next time I write one of these you will be one whole year old. A toddler. I'm scared to blink in case when I open my eyes you will be a sulky teenager! (seriously, thats how fast it feels like you are growing.) I love you more than words can describe. I am so incredibly grateful to be your mom.

Xoxo
Mommy
