Remembering.

I come from a long line of proud soldiers. Many of my grandparents, great grandparents and great aunts and uncles served the United Kingdom proudly, both at the front and in the trenches of the military hospitals. They were selfless. They were brave. And they are inspiring.

And while today is a somber day, I find hope in the remembering. Hope that we will remember those that gave their lives, hope that we will learn from past mistakes, and hope that one day there will be peace.

I remember and give a million and one thanks to those that are still fighting, those that have lost loved ones, and those that are waiting on loved ones to return.

You are all heroes.
